We thought we were cured.
We thought so, but most of us unwittingly carried an old, dead perspective into our new life. We couldn’t measure up to a standard we created, so we convinced ourselves it was God’s. We read his words through our grid of shame and felt ourselves fall farther and farther behind. We took it out on each other; judging, comparing, faking, splintering. Some of us retreated from the whole charade, becoming cynical, mistrusting, jaded from hope. Our marriages, churches, families, friendships, our marketplaces, our culture . . . they all need the cure.
But God’s cures rarely come in the form we expect.
What if, indeed. God is not who we think he is…and neither are we?

Finished "The Cure" last week & ordered copies to give away. Amazing realization that I've been walking toward this "journey into grace" for exactly a year now. This book was the culmination that began with Jesus's own words whispered into my soul a year ago, "grace and truth". As I agonized over a difficult decision, clarity and release came with those words. But now this book. Further confirmation it has been all about walking into the freedom of grace. Glory to God!

A series of events occurred that caused my life to seemingly stop - the devastating effects of sin are real my friends! I picked up three copies of The Cure for two friends and myself when we decided to get in a group together to figure out how to be REAL with ourselves and with God. Little did we know that our relationship with God has been built on a lie - a lie that says God will only love us if...
The Cure has shown us the path to true freedom. Our relationships with God, with each other, with our families and even our view of ourselves has been changed for the better and we are forever grateful to the TrueFaced group for their little book that had a massive impact on us.

I had a fantastic experience. After years of addiction to alcohol, prescription drug abuse and cigarettes I was suicidal and on Christmas night 2015. I don't recall what I prayed, or said, but I do know I surrendered to the Lord. When I woke up I was a completely different person. Today is March, 14th 2016 and I haven't had a drink, cigarette or abused prescription drugs since.
I joined a church, and my new pastor handed me The Cure after I shared my experience and I haven't looked back since. I also read TrueFaced immediately afterward. I just couldn't get enough.
Blessings in Him,

I read The Cure eight times in 2015....God has used it to open up my eyes and my heart to His grace and to the areas of my life that have been trapped under layers of shame and distorted thinking. The Cure has been the first step along a new path in my life....a path that leads to somewhere I never knew existed.

Both The Cure & TrueFaced are 2 of the most influential books that I have ever read. I regularly quote phrases from them as they provide understandable insights to very basic life questions that most everyone has.
There are several principles/insights/life practices that I have been able to integrate into my life path. Each group that has gone through this has greatly benefitted.

This book is helping me on my journey and gives me hope. The Room of Grace is the safe place that we all long for. The authors give guidance without judgement and pretty much tear down the walls - but in such a wise, caring, "we've been there" kind of way. I feel a bit naive to believe there are people like me seeking authentic real relationships and I am starting to believe after reading "the cure". The true heart of Jesus and His desire for His Church - His bride - that's what's in here. Thank you / and make sure you use the scan codes - the resources are so encouraging.

I was intrigued by the tag, "What if God isn't who you thing He is and neither are you." I read the book and found that it addressed what God has been saying to me, "Quit striving. I just love you, period, just for you, not for what you have done or not done, just for you" I liked the contrast of the two rooms, so much like how we all view life with God. I liked the book so well that I purchased two more copies to give away as well as the study guide and the book "On My Worst Day", which I really enjoying also.

This recent order makes at least 30 copies I have ordered and given away. This book is so important that I make sure it gets into the hands of anyone who expresses an interest.

When I first heard John Lynch speak on the the Cure, I was profoundly affected. What he was sharing about the two paths was clearly pointing to my personal struggle. I read the book and then had a long discussion with John and I have been lead to lead a ministry in my church to teach this study. I highly recommend this book to everyone, even those who think they have a strong walk in Christ.
